Service Dog For JayJ

Donation protected
Please consider helping this special little guy... Service dogs aren't pets. They are specially trained to help with specific tasks or needs, and their training, can cost up to $25,000!

Jay J is a little boy from Western New York who was severely abused as an infant. By the time he was 3 months old, he had already suffered 11 broken bones (from multiple instances of abuse) and had been shaken so severely that he developed seizures. As many as 200 in a single day! (His abuse was so horrific, that New York State actually changed their child abuse laws as a result of JayJ's case. https://www.facebook.com/JusticeForJj ) Jay J's bones have healed but shaking has left him severely delayed and he requires constant, vigilant attention. His service dog serves as a ready assistant in times of need, bracing Jay J in case of a fall from seizure, helping with mobility and providing comfort during a seizure.

Service dogs aren't pets. They are specially trained to help a specific individual with specific tasks or needs, and their training, can cost as much as $25,000! The average service dog's working life is about 7 years, Jay J will likely work with 10 or more service dogs in his lifetime, Taking into account inflation, medical care, food, a handler for school, harnesses or other special equipment, that's a lifetime cost of over $500,000!

Health insurance does NOT cover the cost of service animals.
