Service Dog for Chris

Donation protected
This is Chris, the happiest and most affectionate young man I have ever met. As his mom I may be a little biased, but I think most people who know him would agree. :)

Chris has suffered from Epilepsy since he was 5 months old, at one point having up to 35 grand mal seizures per day. It took close to a year to get his seizures controlled to a point that he could begin to grow again, but all of those seizures had done serious damage.

Chris is now suffering the effects of brain damage, autism, agoraphobia, and epilepsy. But the good news is that he has been approved for a service dog! This dog will stay by his side and get help for him when he has a seizure. His new partner will also be there with him when he goes out into the world to help reduce his anxiety, providing Chris with the opportunity to experience a world that his disabilities have left him separated from for most of his life.

In addition to the comfort and companionship that can come from a relationship with any dog. A service dog will be uniquely trained to stay by Chris’ side and support his special needs.
Get help for Chris when he’s having a seizure.
Recognize a seizure and go get a caregiver.
           Retrieve emergency seizure medication.
           Call 911 when necessary.
      Help reduce Chris’ anxiety.
Escort Chris to locations that he is afraid to enter and
help him into buildings to receive needed medical care.
Stay by Chris’ side offering comfort and distraction from
            his anxiety.
Encourage Chris to try new things and experience the
            world.
       And much more!

All funds received from this campaign will go directly to Disability Assistance Dogs, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing service dogs to individuals in need. Each service dog costs $20,000 to train and this generous organization covers half of that cost for all of it's families.

All contributions are tax deductible! The first $10,000 received from this campaign will go directly toward training Chris' service dog and anything we receive over our goal will help other disabled individuals get their dogs!

All backers will be invited to a special Facebook group where you can join Chris on this journey through updates, photos, and probably even a video or two!

Remember, every little bit helps. :)

Thanks for your help! <3 Chris
