Help Me Go To Uganda

 My name is Tyree McIntosh and I’m a graduating senior at Troy University majoring in Rehabilitation Studies with a minor in Civic and Community Engagement. 
I am writing to ask for your help to make my plans of participating in Troy University Global Identity Study Aboard Program in Kampala, Uganda a reality.

All my life, I have had a passion for not only helping others with disabilities but being able to provide them with tools to maintain stability and progress. I have always been interested in providing resources, encouraging individuals, implementing interventions, modifying behaviors, counseling or just being there to listen. Throughout the years, I had many opportunities with helping with Children’s Church, Vacation Bible School, spending my summers working at Camp ASCCA, and volunteering with Alabama's Governor Youth Leadership Forum. Now, I strive the chance to share the same hope and understanding with individuals in Kampala, Uganda.

 
During my stay there, I will be spending my time attending classes, learning the culture, sightseeing, and a participating in a few service projects. I will be learning with staff, other students from my school, and receiving that final credit I need to graduate with my degree in Rehabilitation Studies for completing this program.

 
The trips cost $ 3,000 which include expenses for Flight, Room & Board, Vaccinations, and Miscellaneous Trip Expenses. As  of March  6th, my remaining balance is $1570 , and my ticket was purchased. The remainder amount is due March 30, 2018. If any of you guy could make any type of contribution to help me receive an opportunity of a lifetime would be greatly treasure.

  In closing, a famous quote by Matt Buber, “All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware”, is a perfect example of how the study abroad trip to Uganda can be rewarding to myself. Uganda is secret destination that will open many opportunities for myself in the future.
