Missions Trip to Thailand & Cambodia

Hello friends and family!

As most of you know, my heart has been deeply burdened for the rescue and restoration of women and children trapped in sex slavery for more than a decade now. My involvement began with launching an awareness campaign -- Regent University's first Human Trafficking Awareness Week -- while I served as IJM Student Chapter President. In recent years, I have focused on conducting research on the role of religion and spirituality in the lives of women leaving in the sex industry, as well as on disseminating practical information through writing and speaking at conferences. Because of what God spoke so powerfully to me a few years ago, I remain fully committed to the prevention of sex trafficking and aftercare for survivors. I will never forget swimming in a puddle of tears as He asked me if I would be willing to help rescue women and children from the garbage dumps where they have been discarded like trash, washing them with the water of His Word and restoring them to their rightful identity as jewels in His Crown. As I said "yes" that afternoon, He enlarged my heart and downloaded an even greater measure of His compassion and mercy for the innocent victims of extreme exploitation and sexual abuse.

In the past year, the Lord has been very faithful to resolve a major health condition that has prevented me from traveling abroad since 2003. As a result, I am very excited to share that I have an opportunity to travel with XP Missions to Thailand and Cambodia along with Patricia King and a group of business and church leaders. We will be gathering to share current and future vision, tour three strategic cities and strategize solutions to transform these nations. Following this time, we will embark on a week-long outreach in Phnom Penh, Cambodia involving intercession, worship, evangelism, mercy ministries and service projects. This is a time to shine forth God's glorious light into some of the darkest areas of Cambodia, specifically targeting the sex trade of women and children!
