Help Me Get To Halifax - Opera Program

As many of you may already know, I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida. As a voice student in Dr. Sheila C. Dunn's studio, I study the classical opera and musical theater repertoires. I'm also a part of Dr. Hedi Salanki-Rubardt's piano studio, where I am studying pieces from the classical and romantic periods.

As wonderful as these studios are, we do take the summer semesters off from study. That leaves me, as a student, in search of something to fill my summer with a meaningful, educational experience. 

This past Fall, I went through an audition process for a summer program located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Ultimately, I was granted a spot in Halifax Summer Opera Festival's upcoming Opera Scenes Program for the Summer of 2014. I was so excited when I got the news, but naturally the first thing that came to my mind was, "How am I going to pay for this?" So, let me break down the costs:
-Program Tuition: $750.00
-Plane Tickets: $500.00-$600.00
-Room & Board: $1,800.00

Obviously, that's a lot of money, but when I think of the experience that this summer program is going to offer me, I know that all the work I will have to put in to raise that money will be completely worth it.
