Helping Cats and Dogs of B & H

Animals in Need are Rising and we need your help!
 

 Naida  Kaltak in Sarajevo, Bosnia founded “Helping Cats and Dogs of B & H” (Semper Fidelis)  more than a decade ago. Naida has been feeding stray dogs and cats from the region, as well as catching, spaying/neutering & vaccinating feral cats and providing a spay/neuter program for impoverished residents with pets.  Many of the dogs rescued are found in ill health, pregnant or with puppies in the forest, abandoned by hunters each season.  From the mountains to the forest, abandoned factories and the side of highways, Naida is saving unwanted, discarded, injured cats and dogs.  Naida networks with other rescue groups in the UK, Germany and Holland and to date has adopted more than 700 dogs and cats out of Bosnia and onto better lives in these countries. Still, there are always more who need help, and the while the numbers rescued are rising, the donations have fallen with the past Covid year.

    With a network of loving and dedicated Pensions (foster homes who care for and rehabilitate the dogs in their care) at present, Naida has 180 dogs and puppies, plus 120 cats safe under her wing, and they are all depending on the International community for donations to help with food, housing, veterinary costs (including spay/neuter, microchip, flea & tick treatments plus anything else needed), and finally, transportation once rehabilitated and ready to move onto their new lives out of Bosnia.
