Securing Teresa's Future

In September of 2016, Teresa started her senior year at Armstrong High School. Unfortunately, she had to attend her uncle's funeral that same day. She shocked us all when she stood up to talk about her memories of him. Though the year started on a sad note, she continued to receive good grades and remained a member of the Honor Society. Not only that, she was a member of the National Technical Honor Society. In October, she began her FASFA application and gather multiple information on  scholarships and grants. In late March 2017, she began having symptoms from a rare health condition which required surgery in April. Because her focus was on school, she wanted to know when she could return. To her dismay, she had another surgery, later that week. She spent two weeks in the hospital, and could not return  to school until May. By that time, half of the application deadlines had passed. She kept a positive attitude, and achieved the honor of Valedictorian. My daughter was not able to get all the funding to help her attend college. She was planning on going to Shenandoah University as a Pre-Med: Biology major.  We appreciate the help being offered by West Broad and Sandy Lane Churches of Christ. Thanks also to Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club who sponsored Armstrong High. With your help, we can secure her future for next semester.
