As a 2005 graduate of Winston Salem State University (WSSU), I can truly say that my experience was life changing. This experience is what compels me to give back to WSSU. One way that I saw was an opportune way to give back was to join the WSSU Alumni Association. The association sponsors many events throughout each year, which are all, geared to providing monetary and auxiliary support to students. The Winston-Salem State University National Alumni Association's Mr. and Miss Alumni Contest is one such event that supports the university and its students. It is with great RAM pride that I announce my participation as a candidate in the 2014 Winston Salem State University Mr. Alumni Contest.

The Mr. and Miss. Alumni Contest and Scholarship Gala are the primary fundraising events of the year. More than 1000 distinguished guests and dignitaries will gather to celebrate the accomplishments of community leaders and recognize our scholarship recipients. Your donation will provide funding for scholarships, educational resources and support for student activities and programs throughout the coming year. It is the generosity of alumni, friends, community and business partners that make our work possible. The success of our youth is pivotal to the success of our city, region and country. I ask that you assist me in this endeavor. Therefore, I invite you to participate in the WSSU National Alumni Association as a sponsor of the Annual Scholarship and Crowning Awards Gala on Friday, October 16, 2014 at the Benton Convention Center, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
