Support Scott's road to recovery

Donation protected
In the evening hours of December 29, 2014 Scott was involved in a motorcycle accident while heading home from work.  He was immediately flown to the trauma center at Lawnwood Regional.  His injuries were severe, including two compound fractures to his right leg and severe head trauma resulting in massive swelling in his brain, as well as a small tear in his abdomen and bruising on a portion of his intestines.  Last night, December 30th, he went in to surgery to have a portion of his skull removed on the right side to relieve pressure on his brain.  Once his head is stable enough they will make plans to do the remaining surgeries on his leg and abdomen.  They are currently keeping Scott in a medically induced coma until conditions with his brain swelling improve.  Then if all goes well, we will start looking forward towards the very long road to recovery that he has before him.

For those who dont know him, Scott was born and raised here in Indian River County, Florida.  After high school he left home join the U.S. Navy, in which he served honorably for four years.  He came back home to Florida after his time in the Navy, settled down and started a family.  A hard worker by nature, Scott always strives to do the best at whatever he does.  In 2003, Scott opened Scott's Lawn and Landscaping business, a proud achievment of his and a business he runs to this day.  He also works part-time at Publix. Those that know him know of his caring and compassionate nature, his family and friends are what he lives for, and he would never hesistate for a second to help someone in need.

He has a long road to recovery, one that can only be measured in months, not weeks or days.  And even though they have not yet arrived in the mail, the medical bills have already started to accumulate, and will only grow as time goes on.

Any donation to help offset the cost of his care and recovery would be a blessing and would mean the world to him and his family during this difficult time.  All donations will be used strictly to offset medical costs, and updates will be posted regularly regarding his current condition and the use of funds towards treatment.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page and read about Scott.  Whether you are able to donate or not, please keep Scott in your thoughts and prayers.

With our deepest graditude and appreciation we say Thank you!

Sincerly,

His Loving Family
