Sadler Educational Fund

Scott Sadler, age 42, lived a life filled with joy, meaning, and purpose.  He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He cherished every moment spent with his family and friends, especially while being outdoors and enjoying the water together. He loved swimming and competing in triathlons.  He was an exceptional father to his four children, reading them stories, and going on new adventures.  Work brought him joy as he collaborated with his team at Steelcase, bringing new ideas to reality. He cherished his lifelong friendships and community surrounding him.  Most importantly, Scott lived his life with this purpose: to glorify his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in all things.

When diagnosed with colon cancer, Scott chose to face every issue and circumstance with courage and resilience. Not one to complain, he constantly looked for ways to thank and encourage those around him.  Cancer did not shake his faith; in fact, Scott’s faith grew stronger and deeper. On multiple occasions, Scott would say that, because of this disease, he knows and has experienced more of God’s love, His grace, His strength, and His comfort. God did not fail Scott. Rather, God was seen through Scott as he walked by faith every step of this journey.

That journey came to an end on August 11 when Scott, surrounded by his wife, children, and family, entered the presence of his Savior.

Many have asked, ‘What can we do to help our friends?’ As a result, we have created this GoFundMe page to help cover the forthcoming educational costs for Weston, Hazel, Josiah and Greta.  Having these resources will bring such peace, and such hope. Whether your gift is large or small, we are so grateful for your kindness and generosity. You can be assured that all gifts will be used to help pay the expenses related to all educational needs for the kids.
