B V's Breast Cancer Survival
Donation protected
Please help me in my Battle to Survive Breast Cancer! I have worked hard all my life and raised a family on my own - Now I find myself diagnosed with Breast Cancer. By the time I finish my chemo and re-construction, it will take a year before I can work again! I am a freelance Costumer Designer/ Fabricator/ Photographer by trade and make a good living - but as anyone knows that is a self- employed artist - if you can't work - you don't make any money. I need help with additional medical expenses and just every day expenses. Check out my web site: www.foreignography.com to see what I have been doing and HOPE to Return to!
Even though I can't work on my costuming - it requires travel to work - I can work from my studio editing and catalouging the over 10,000 photographs I have taken while one the road the last five years. That is if I have the strength after Chemo and Radiation. I will know more about that after next weeks rounds of testsd, injections and treatments. After all that comes the Breast Re-Construction - more tests, injections, surgeries and therapies so I can move my arm again. Wouldn't you know the BC was in my Left Breast - The Arm I SEW with!!
I never would have thought there could be so many expenses with this illness. It is like having a Baby! Special bras, chemo caps, comfort pillows for sleeping, additional medication, medical dressings - the list goes on - used daily and weekly really add up! My insurance is covering a good part of the costs, but the co-pays, out-of pocket, deductables and expenses "not covered on YOUR plan" are in the thousands!
Any help you can give will be incredibly appreciated!!
Thank You!!
