Save Apollo

Friends, my kitty Apollo disappeared for 6 days.  Just when I was tearfully accepting I had lost him for good, he showed back up, but injured.  

I brought him to our awesome vet, who thinks he may have been hit by a car.  He has a shattered femur 

 and the skin on his cheek is peeled back, exposing his jawbone.

The vet recommends amputating the leg, and reaffixing the skin on his jaw, plus a temp feeding tube when he’s under because he may not want to eat right when he wakes up.  We could check with a surgeon for reconstruction, but the bone is VERY shattered, so I think the amputation is the best bet.

This little man drug his broken body home to me, and laid in my arms snuggling.  


I have to do everything I can to save this guy.  Dr. George says his labs look good, and his color is good, and often Tripod  animals recover well from surgery and live happy lives.  

I must save this dude.   Besides being an awesome cat, he’s my responsibility.  


I am scraping everything I possibly can together, but if you could help out, I would be most appreciative.
