Bela's Vet Bill

Bela is currently very sick and hospitalized at our vet clinic.
Our vet isn't quite sure what's going on and the more tests we run, the more the bills are going up.

She was diagnosed with pancreatitis in 2011 but hasn't had a flare up since the end of that year. Initially we thought that's what this might be... but her symptoms aren't consistent.

My Mom and I adopted Bela from a shelter when she was 10 months old. She just had her 8th birthday this week but still acts like a kitten! She loves playing fetch and sitting on paper.

My Mom and I are both students and somehow ended up in the same program. We walked across the stage together at graduation last month - an amazing experience. Unfortunately, we're both paying back student loans now.

I lost my Father very suddenly in November and went through a very difficult time. He lived in another province and the sudden trip was also very costly.

Trying to pay the cost of the funeral trip, both of our student loans and a mortgage has left us struggling financially. The vet bill is currently at $980. We've been pooling together our credit cards and charging as we go.

Bela has been the joy in our lives through some very difficult times and we're going to do everything we can to try to figure out what's wrong so we can bring our baby back home.
