Dwayne Carlos, Our Daughter's Brain Tumor

Sara's Story - Sara was diagnosed with an Anaplastic Astrocytoma brain tumor in 2015, three days before her 41st birthday. She and and some friends nicknamed it "Dwayne Carlos" to bring some humor to a terrible situation. After a craniotomy she received temodar and radiation and despite some side effects from those treatments she did well for 5 years.  This spring, again right around her birthday, she was told that the tumor had returned and that there was nothing her medical facility could do so they recommended a facility in Boston.  We live in NH, Boston is two hours away.  Sara was placed on a trial but had to be taken off the trial after six weeks since it was not working.  The tumor had grown from the previous MRI which was taken at the beginning of the trial.  She had chosen another immuno trial but failed to qualify because there was not enough of her tumor specimen remaining for the study to evaluate it.     She is looking at other trials, some that may require her to go into Boston every two weeks for infusions.  Her insurance does not cover everything and we are looking for donations to help defray some of the expenses related to her treatment and all the expenses related to her care.  Anaplastic Astrocytoma is a rare brain cancer and Sara's options are limited so please help make this easier for her by donating to her cause.  Thank you and God Bless!
