Sam’s Fight Against Brain Cancer: We're #SamStrong

Donation protected
We’re raising funds for our best friends, Sam and Justin Buberl. In January 2024, Sam (Nichols) Buberl received the news that a Grade 2 tumor was affecting the front part of her brain. Despite being initially told it was non-cancerous, the tumor still required surgical removal.

Just five months before the diagnosis, Sam and Justin had celebrated their marriage, bought their first home, and were eagerly planning to start a family.

On March 5, Sam underwent open brain surgery to remove the tumor. The surgery was successful, and the tumor was removed. After the surgery, Sam spent three days in the hospital, gradually regaining her strength before finally returning home to begin what would be a long recovery process.

On March 21 during an appointment to discuss further treatment options, they received devastating news: Sam's diagnosis had changed to a form of incurable brain cancer. Despite the prognosis, we are holding onto hope for an upcoming trial drug to be released, potentially extending Sam's life beyond doctors' estimations.

Throughout these last few months, Sam and Justin have remained strong as they navigate this heartbreaking news.

With unforeseen bills and more challenges ahead, any donation to support them through this financial strain would be deeply appreciated. Every contribution will make a difference in their lives.

Together, we are #SamStrong.
