Sade's Story
A few years ago, at the age of 4, my daughter (Sade) had gum surgery which instigated a brain deteriorating birth defect known as Mitochondrial, which also ultimately causes organ failure. I understood from the doctor that she was born with this disease and would not have manifested it until around the age of 16. However, the gum surgery boosted the manifestation period and she started experiencing symptoms of the disease and suffering immediately after the gum surgery. This disease is a deteriorating disease that has caused my daughter to gradually lose her motor control. Already, at the age of 9, she suffers muscle weakness and pain, seizures, and have lost some hearing in one ear. Mitochondria are responsible for creating more than 90% of the energy needed by the body to sustain life and support growth. Because she lacks this vital sustenance, she is now in a wheelchair. Her school has requested that I purchase a van and have a motorized wheel chair installed in the van for easier transportation of Sade. Unfortunately, that is easier said than done. I am a single-parent with limited finances. It was suggested to me to set up a webpage on Gofundme to solicit assistance. Please consider assisting me by making a donation. I greatly appreciate any donation you can give by clicking on the link below and following the appropriate steps. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
