SWC Supports Women for Women Int'l

Seattle Women's Chorus is raising funds for the nonprofit organization Women for Women International in association with our upcoming concert series, "A Woman's World," on March 17, 18, and 19 at the Cornish Playhouse in Seattle, Washington.

The concert sings the untold stories of women across the globe who are transforming their communities through leadership in social justice, including women working in regions facing war, conflict, and refugee crises. 

Women for Women International works in 8 of these such countries, supporting marginalized women, teaching them to earn and save money, improve their health and well-being, influence decisions in their homes and communities, and connect to networks for support.  By utilizing skills, knowledge, and resources, they are empowered to create sustainable change for themselves, their families, and their communities.  When women around the world are empowered, we are all empowered.
