We achieved the funding of the Sister Mary Angelus Outdoor Classroom in under 30 days with $5,000 donated! Our new $1,000 goal will assist the Preschool to build out additional outdoor educational space for their area on campus. Together with the two currently funded projects, our school will have more room to get outside at every opportunity! In addition, we will fund a maintenance fund to cover annual upkeep. Our Story:
After months of planning, including discussions with SPS educators, parents and school administrators, a new Outdoor Educational Classroom is ready to begin development. Father Gagne has offered the Outdoor Educational Classroom a home "on the hill" up at the Rectory under the mulberry and oak trees. This space is shaded, quiet, and perfect for educational reflection. Our Classroom needs some equipment and that's where we need your help! We need donations to purchase picnic tables (seating), a partially frosted tempered glass panel (all-weather dry erase board), Adirondack resin chairs (additional seating) and educator "toolboxes" for each grade. All donations $50 and above will be commemorated with brass plaques (ie. "In Honor of", "In Memory Of", "A Gift of the __ Family").
