SMYOC Singers to Carnegie Hall
Tax deductible
13 SMYOC-Choir members and one member of our choral staff, Bronte Ficek, are headed to New York City's Carnegie Hall this June to perform the world premier of La Cigarra y La Hormiga, a 7-movement piece for children's choir by composer Cristian Grases. They will be rehearsing all spring and will come together for final rehearsals and performance with 10 other youth choirs, coming from all across the United States and Europe. A chance of a lifetime.
Please help us raise the funds to make this opportunity possible for several individuals who need financial assistance for the travel, participation fees, and 4-night hotel stay. We want to send all these singers to New York to sing their hearts out in the famous Isaac Stern Auditorium - a place most musicians only get to dream about.
Thank you so much for your interest and support of these SMYOC youth singers, the next generation of music-makers in Southern Maryland.
