I'm reaching out to you as a part of SMBGC's annual individual fundraising campaign: "Back a Youth." Individual giving can have a massive impact: According to the Giving USA 2010 report, individuals were the major source (75%) for donations in 2009. It just takes one caring adult to make a difference and your donation can help us make a real impact on the lives of the kids this organization serves.
Why Give? What's The Impact? "“ Research commissioned by the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Los Angeles County Alliance found that for every $1 invested, the Boys & Girls Clubs within L.A. County generate $16.42 of positive economic impacts for the community "“ that's an annual Return on Investment of at least 1,642%. This tremendous rate of return is a testament to the vital role the Clubs play in shaping the lives of youth and their parents. Specifically:
-Increase in high school graduation rates
-Reduction in teenage motherhood
-Prevention of juvenile crime
-Improved parental ability to work and go to school
-Value of economic output, jobs and tax revenue
What Will Your Donation Achieve?
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica remains committed to serving the community without cutting programs or services in 2012. In fact, we created new programs and had a deeper impact on more kids. The hard work will continue in 2013 as we focus on our operational priorities:
Further enhancing our programs "“ Evolving and strengthening current programs to meet the community's changing needs, and ensuring our staff training is continuous and up to date. These include our College Bound program that helps teens apply to college, as well as our Food Services and Nutrition Education, which provides free snacks and meals to Club members, giving peace of mind to struggling parents while teaching youth about healthy lifestyle choices.
