Spanish Immersion Parent Association
Who has an extra $300-$500 dollars a year? Not our public school teachers, but that is what they spend each year out of their own pockets for school supplies and learning material.
Cabrillo Unified School District in Half Moon Bay offers families a K-12 two-way Bilingual Spanish Immersion Program. The non-profit parent group that supports the program is the Spanish Immersion Parent Association, (SIPA).
SIPA is fundraising for school supplies, books, field trips, and classroom activities. Part of our student population is low income and receives free lunch. All families give when they can and donate time in classrooms. Our parents have been generous in their donations but the demand is far greater than our families can meet.
Visit our website for more information on the Immersion program and our school: http://www.cabrillo.k12.ca.us/hatch/immersion.htm
Thank you for taking the time to view our page and donating!
Sincerely,
Ramona Alvarado
SIPA President
While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.
