SHINE: Mission Field of Entertainment

I sometimes wonder, "Who do we think we are?" Some christians commune with each other, but exclude communion with obvious sinners. We go on mission trips for a week or two, but live the rest of our lives in the company of believers like us. Born-again Christians will surely go to heaven, but who will we bring with us? Have we multipied our talents?
God didn't give us gifts to hide them under a bushel. He gave them to us to use for Him- to shine the light in us - to share with the world - to bring about interest to those who are lost and are seeking something beyond what this world offers.
Because the mission field of entertainment is burning millions of people who devote an exorbant amount of hours to it, I am answering the call to GO and GIVE GLORY to God. There have been many times where I have wanted to call it quits when things got too hard. Times when I haven't had the support I thought I needed to keep standing for God. But I read that most of the bad results we face on this side of heaven happen when we quit. God has placed talent and a desire for His people in me that keeps me going when I'd rather give in. So, here I am once again, being obedient to my calling and embarking on another journey.
God has opened a door through AMTC (Actors, Models and Talent for Christ) for me to stand boldly for Him in places where some dare not. SHINE is a conference for singers, dancers, models, actors and comedians from all over the world who are called by God to be role models. It is scouted by 50-100 leading agents, managers, casting directors and music professionals- from mainstream and Christian media- seeking top talent. SHINE takes place over 6 days in Orlando offering VIP seminars and auditions to launch Christ's ambassadors into world of media for Him.
We can not love from a distance. We must 'go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation (Mark 16:15).' That includes Hollywood.
