SBF Animal Rescue Inc Non profit (501)c (3) run on a small farm located in Harwinton, Connecticut. We are continually rescuing and rehoming animals in need. We serve the community through several programs such as Toys for Tots and hosting programs for schools including homeschooler groups, inner city and disadvantaged children. We host birthday parties and offer riding lessons, boarding and leasing of horses. Feeding horses is a huge expense and the rescue is in immediate need of hay. Ideally buying hay in bulk is more cost effective so we hope to place a large order soon. One of the horses Jesse James (JJ) has a condition called Cryptorchidism and this needs to be corrected and that procedure is $5000. Spring vetting & shots are coming up and Coggins and other vaccines are $400 each. Coggins is an annual test to assure the horses aren't infected with a virus that is highly contagious to other horses. Bedding, animal food for all the various rescue animals, misc. supplies and dental work for the horses are additional expenses.
