SAVE Paradise Ranch!!

Donation protected
Paradise Ranch aids families and individuals in need to lead productive and happy lives through engaging activities with previously unwanted animals in a comfortable clean facility.

Paradise Ranch’s current property is on 1 acre and has a large office and meeting space; and with the community’s help, Paradise Ranch has created a beautiful indoor arena.  During the last 5 years our amazing landlord has allowed us to short pay our rent when our funding didn’t cover our monthly bills.  For this reason, we have been able to keep the lights on and continue to serve over 400 families every month in our community; even when some of these families are unable to pay. In addition, because of our landlord’s patience, we have continued to provide excellent care for the 35 previously unwanted animals we have rescued.

The landlord unfortunately can no longer carry our accumulated past due amount and is requesting our full balance be paid by months end or Paradise Ranch will have to leave the property.

The total amount due by February 29th 2016 is: $25,000

We are confident with your help we can reach this goal!

After the balance is paid we can renegotiate the monthly payment to a more affordable amount.  We have also secured more funding for previously free clients, going forward.

Donations will also receive the following gifts:

$50- $99 will receive a hand decorated horseshoe art piece

$100 or more donations will receive a one-of-a-kind handmade horseshoe sculpture.

$500 or more donations will have a plaque (description of your choice) in the Paradise Ranch office and receive one of our collectable handmade horseshoe sculptures.

$1000 or more will have a 4ftx3ft banner in the arena (with logo if desired).  You will also receive a one-of-a-kind horseshoe, handmade horseshoe sculpture, and a plaque (description of your choice) in the Paradise Ranch office.

$10,000 or more and Paradise Ranch will dedicate the arena in your name beautifully displayed for all to see as well as a sponsor banner inside the arena as advertisement.  Additionally, you will receive a one-of-a-kind handmade horseshoe sculpture and a plaque (description of your choice) in the waiting room.

A little more about Paradise Ranch

When Paradise Ranch opened its doors in 2011, Paul and Stephanie Rogers had two main goals, the first was to provide mental health and respite services in a clean, comfortable, and safe setting to the underserved individuals and families in the Las Vegas valley.  The second goal was to offer a safe rewarding job to unwanted animals.

Many families reported while visiting other ranches and farms they noticed the positive benefits for their children while interacting with animals.  Unfortunately, complaints like untrained staff, dust, heat, wind, “animal” smells, flies, lack of adequate bathrooms or seating kept families from returning to other facilities.  Paradise Ranch introduces children and adults to animals with all of the creature comforts of home.

Paradise Ranch is improving the quality of life for children and families where no other therapy has been successful with our Horse Assisted Therapy program.  All of our providers have extensive experience in both mental health and animal handling. Mr. Paul (as clients call him) is the founder of our Horse Assisted Therapy program.  He is well known in the mental health community and is well liked in the animal rescue community.  Paul has a Masters in Psychology and is currently on track to receive his PHD from North Central University.

Paradise Ranch has achieved its second goal providing a loving home and a worth-while job to previously unwanted animals.  Upon hearing of us adopting our dog Raven, an employee at the pound said it best, “That lucky dog has just hit the pound puppy lottery!”  We take the responsibility for the lives of our horses, goats, pig, chickens, rabbits, cat, and dogs very seriously.   We promise them a forever family at our home.

Poca is our old lady appaloosa, she was found running alone on Nellis Boulevard.  Beaten, starved, hooves so long she could hardly walk, and with a wound on her withers down to her spin; Poca had given up on people and life.  Paradise Ranch adopted Poca from LEAN.   Mr. Paul took many months to rehabilitate Poca and it took time for her to learn trust again; but she is now one of the client’s favorite horses.  One of the many examples of the impact HAT has on children can be seen with a child who was in the foster care system because of abuse and neglect, she found a close friend she could trust in Poca.  This little girl, who had a much harder life than most want to imagine in her mere 8 years on this earth, would lovingly brush Poca with tears streaming down her face and say “You are a good girl Poca.  You deserve to be loved and so do I.”

Paradise Ranch relies on community support to provide HAT sessions to families in Las Vegas. Try explaining to a 13 year old non-verbal child with autism he can no longer progress in his language abilities and work with his best friend Leo (a 14yo quarter horse who is going blind) because the money is no longer available.  These situations are impossibilities and Mr. Paul and his staff refuse to turn these clients away.  It is through the great volunteer staff and community partners we are able to continue to serve our community.  We love our volunteers; many of whom are at-risk teens and young adults.  One volunteer explained how important our volunteer program is to him: “If I couldn’t be here all the time helping and being around the animals I would go back to hanging at the park and smoking weed.”

Paradise Ranch is a major community resource.  Please help us to continue to serve these very deserving humans and animals.

Thank you.
