Welcome family, friends, and strangers!
As some of you know, we are a military couple and have been together a
bout 2 years and 4 months, 19 months of which we've been separated due to orders assigning us to separate bases. When we got married in 2012, we had to travel to NY since neither Nevada (where Sylvia was stationed) and Texas (where Alex was stationed) had approved gay marriage. We wed in city hall and had a small dinenr with family and friends.
Unfortunately, Alex's side of the family couldn't make it out to see the wedding.
Having to travel to see family (since neither of us have family in Nevada) is both a gift and a curse. We get to travel but it isn't a true vacation because we are from those states so we are always running around trying to see as much family as we can. Don't even get us started about deciding where we are going to spend the holidays lol
We were going to give up on a vacation until we decided to come up with this campaign. The way we see it, it's like our belated wedding registry.
So now here we are, with our hearts open putting positive vibes and faith out into the universe to help make this happen!
