Ryker's Dominican Republic Mission Trip

Hello, my name is Ryker Bolden. I turn 18 in March and am currently enrolled as a senior at Columbia Adventist Academy. I am currently raising money to go to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic for a mission trip from March 18th till the 31st. Our objective for the mission trip will be building two churches, refurbishing an existing church, working in a medical clinic, and running a Vacation Bible School for the kids.
It's hard for me to imagine not having a church to worship in or a school in which to learn. Sometimes we get used to our comfortable standard of living and forget that the majority of people in the world have such basic needs still unmet. Going on this trip will help me see firsthand how blessed I am and how I can use what I have to help others. I'm sure that participating on this mission project will have a positive long-term effect on me.
To participate, I need to raise $1,800 in order to pay for airfare, accommodations, and food. I've met my first deadline of $100 but I am now working towards achieving my second goal of raising the $700 required by January 29th. Another $700 is due in February and the final $300 goal needs to be fulfilled by March 12. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
Please pray for me during this trip. Upon my return I will be eager to share with you the events from the trip and how my life has been affected.
