Housing & Assistance for Ron Kiser
Donation protected
On thanksgiving day (November, 2017) Ron and his son Dave scheduled a weekly round of golf when Ron thought he was having a heart attack so he checked himself in to the hospital. They admitted Ron and determined he had multiple blood clots which were causing severe pain. After a few days the physicians realized Ron's body was riddled with cancerous tumors and that two tumors were located on his spine.
After lying in the hospital bed a few days Ron realized that his legs were tingling and starting to get numb. He mentioned this to the Dr. and was told it was somewhat normal to have that discomfort. Then, another day or two went by and Ron became adamant that they “do something” because he couldn’t walk. This time the Dr paid attention to Ron and sent him in to surgery to have a tumor removed from Ron's spine. After the tumor was removed Ron was really screwed because he became completely unable to walk. Now, Ron cannot walk at all.
Your help is needed to assist Ron, David (his son), and Brenda (his Sister) to help pay for housing for Ron that will accommodate his immobility.
Time is of the essence as the HealthSouth Rehab center will discharge Ron on or about January 18th. Currently Ron's home does not accommodate wheelchair access nor the other mobility assist features that are required.
