Treatment for bone cancer :(

Rocco, our very best friend, has recently been diagnosed with bone cancer. He is in pain and it pains us to see him this way. He is a 6.5 year old doberman and not just a good boy, a WONDERFUL boy! And the light of our lives!
We have already paid thousands of dollars leading up to this diagnosis for tests, blood work, consultations and pain medication and in a few days, we are headed to see an Oncologist.
If the cancer has not yet spread, we can amputate his leg and begin chemo for him. We know this doesnt come cheap and we need all the help we can get.
He is still a young pup with tons of energy and tons of love - it's not his time yet and we want to fight to keep him in our lives.
I can't imagine life without him and neither can my 3 year old son. He tries so hard to play with him everyday even though we can see he is hurting, he won't give up on us and we will not give up on him!
He always tries to console and comfort me when I am feeling down about the possibility of losing him. All of the pain he is in, and he is still worried about making his humans feel better. He is such a regal, loyal and stoic companion whom I love with all of my heart.
There are no words for the amount of joy he has brought us.
Please help us keep our gentle giant Rocco in our lives and pain free.
