Rob's Road to Recovery
This is the story of a husband, a father, a son, a brother and a dear friend.
On the weekend of July 26th, our brother Rob went with his wife, some friends and their motorbikes to ride through the Smokey Mountains in North Carolina. The trip started off perfectly with some great views and some great miles. And then on Sunday July 28th, the trip took a tragic turn when Rob's bike went down leaving him with a broken shoulder blade, a broken rib and a severe head trauma.
He was airlifted to the nearest hospital where he remained until he was stable enough to make the flight back home to Canada. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit, surrounded by family and friend, fighting to regain consciousness.
When a family member is ill, there are always extra expenses that add up and can quickly become a considerable stress. It is our sincere hope that through this site we can bring our family and friends together to help lighten the burden and help Rob and his family along his lengthy road to recovery.
