Rob's Fight Against Cancer

Greetings! My name is Robert Williams. My wife's name is Christine Royston and we have spent the last 23 years together, the last 7 as husband and wife. Most of those years have been great, a few a little trying and the last four developed into some difficult times.
My wife is a breast cancer survivor but has struggled with being bi-polar and dealing with a Parkinson's-type disease that has left her disabled with difficulty in standing, walking and peripheral movements. She cannot drive, has trouble with daily chores and taking care of her 'personal' needs.
I have had peripheral neuropathy in my legs and hands for about three years and it has been growing more difficult for me to perform some daily tasks. In addition, I had severe gastric problems that sent me to the hospital Emergency Room. Over a period of three days I had numerous tests and was ultimately admitted and sent to surgery. They had discovered Stage 3 colon cancer. I immediately had about a two foot resection of my colon and am scheduled for a six month treatment of Chemotherapy.
Because of a lack of insurance until recently, our prior illnesses have made us incur a debt of doctor and hospital bills at well over six figures. We are both on Federal social security disability and like a lot of people, are living paycheck to paycheck and often have counted on friends and family to help 'fill in the blanks' whenever possible.
We have applied for any and all financial support for our diseases and disabilities from State, Federal and Private support to cover my upcoming cancer treatments and the over twenty prescriptions my wife and I need every month. Where we go from here is in the hands of said support groups, and the kindness of YOU, the people who support people like my wife and I and countless others.
We offer Blessings to you in whatever your Higher Power may be, and hope that one day we can personally tell you and yours how important you were to our lives.
