Chicago has been devastated with Riots & Protest leaving already impoverished communities suffering in food deserts to now be deserted with nearly no where to go for food! We are in position to help these communities with mobile grocery stores offering free delivery to low income families, veterans, disabled and elderly and we need your help! We can outfit at least 2 trucks within the next 45days and a warehouse filled to start delivery.
Roots & Vine Produce and Cafe is a community focused and motivated company bringing healthy food options, fresh produce harvested by black farmers, co-ops and urban growers, and bulk dry goods to food deserts while creating jobs. Alongside Green Table Talks NFP , offering food demos, workshops and classes that assist the community to combat food related illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity.
Due to covid 19, our city shutting down and our renovations coming to a halt while preparing to open our flagship location. Work has stopped but our responsibility to our community has not!
Impending food shortages have made big business take notice that we cannot continue to put our food supply in foreign hands. And now they are turning to farmers to help! There's no problem with that. But small farmers are where we started!! When life re-emerges and business is in full swing we need to hit the ground running and we are ready!
We are starting in Chicago, but have a laser focused initiative to revolutionize neighborhood convenience nationwide.
The funds will be used to complete our renovations, hire staff, inventory and purchase a refrigerated truck to help our farmers get their harvest to where it is needed the most!
We have to work fast and smart to stay competitive and not get pushed out of our market share! We have worked too hard!
