Helping Rick Win The Fight!!

Donation protected
In April of this year, my husband, Rick, was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma of the esophagus.
I'm happy to be able to say that this condition is 100% curable. The downside is that emotionally & financially we are not prepared for this at all.
Ricks line of work is purely seasonal and offers no benefits of any kind. We will not be able to rely on short-term disability, unemployment or savings. My present employment is not enough to keep us going. Needless to say, I don't know what we're going to do to stay afloat.
Rick has always done anything and everything that he can do for us. He is a good provider, a great dad & he is absolutely everything to me.
At the end of June 2014, he will be heading in to Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston to have two thirds of his esophagus removed and rebuilt from his stomach. He will have radiation and be on a feeding tube for 6-8 weeks following the surgery. We don't know when he will be able to return to work or at what capacity.
Under normal circumstances, asking for help is not what we do. We have always been able to find a way to take care of things on our own, but this is just way too big for us. Anything at all to help keep a roof over our heads and food on the table for our daughter and put HIS mind at ease so that he can recover the way he should would be so greatly appreciated!
Thank you for taking the time to read this page.
Ricks wife,

P.S. We will be holding a physical event on Friday, August 8th, from 7pm-midnight at the Clinton Elks.  We hope to see our friends and family there!
