Harvey Devastated Disabled Friends

UPDATE 9/13/17
My Houston friends Rich and Shannon McDowell lost everything in Hurricane Harvey. You gave generously and they have a new apartment in Austin, clothes, and personal necessities. They are grateful!
WE RAISED 63% OF OUR GOAL!
If we reach our goal Rich and Shannon can have a "House-in-a Box" from St. Vincent de Paul’s Disaster Fund. For $2100 they get all the basic furnishings they need to set up their new place!

They lost everything. These wonderful volunteers gutted the Houston house:
Please help Rich and Shannon continue their new lives.
Shannon is disabled, and Rich has Asperger's Syndrome, a form of Autism. In Houston they eked out a living. Rich worked three minimum wage jobs, and they lived for free in his childhood home. Now the jobs, the house, and their belongings are gone.
Rich is my friend of ten years, his family lived across the street. Recently he married Shannon, his high school sweetheart. They are kind, loving, people with hearts of gold who need a hand.
Your funding goes into my bank account and is electronically transferred to John McDowell each day. John is Rich's brother who makes purchases and leads the effort setting up Rich and Shannon's new life.
Many thanks!
