We are an LGBT couple from the Middle East. The Stonewall Global Initiative (SGI) is currently working with us to gain political asylum. While living in our native country, we were driven from our business, our home, and our lives were threatened, due to government disapproval of our sexual orientation. We have recently married and have petitions pending to be granted asylum. We are currently working with a nationally recognized attorney who specializes in LGBT asylum cases and is assisting at a significantly reduced rate. It is our hope that you would consider making a donation to the SGI that will go directly to our legal fees. Anything that you could give would be greatly appreciated.
