Bringing Her To Rest

Donation protected
On Saturday February 1st we lost a sister, daughter, mother, and friend. Janet Alicia Chavez passed away at 24 years old, in a tragic car accident, on the I-5 near J street in Chula Vista Saturday morning. We believe Janet was out doing postmates food delivery because her baby girl Ruth's birthday was February 2nd and she wanted to give her baby a barbie car for her birthday. That's just the type of mom, and person Janet was, she would do anything for those she loved. This wasn't the first time Janet would be out for hours, hoping to make extra money to give her princess what she wanted. In her passing she left behind her daughter Ruth (who turned 5 the day after her mother's death) , devastated parents, and broken hearted siblings and friends. Janet was so talented, whether it was her ability to play songs on the violin just from hearing them, or her eye for art, she made the most beautiful abstract paintings and extremely realistic portraits. Janet had so many dreams and goals, she was a gifted boxer and planned to get back in the ring this year. Janet was studying agriculture and signed up for classes again at City College for next semester so she could persue her dreams of owning a farm and being self sufficient. We now are facing losing her, this amazing woman we didn't get nearly enough time with. Her unexpected death has crushed us all, and we would give anything to have her back. Unfortunately we cannot turn back time, and now we face the costs of laying our Janet to rest, and the costs of raising her daughter without her support. We plead with anyone who sees this, please, if you cannot donate, share, spread the word. We desperately need to give our Janet the peace she deserves, and regretably we were not at all finacially prepared for this. We thank anyone and everyone who has donated, you have no idea the impact you are making. The kindness you are bringing to us now, in our most vulnerable and dark time. We have been totally shocked and unprepared, and thank anyone for showing compassion to our family.
