Betty Old needs your help to offset staggering medical costs exacerbated by Hurricane Harvey.
84-year old Betty Old suffered a catastrophic stroke March 3, 2017. She is paralyzed on her right side, can neither speak, nor care for herself, and is in constant pain. Her son, Ray, took her into his home and has been lovingly caring for her, driving her to doctor’s appointments and physical therapy that is helping learn how to communicate, manage her pain, and become more self-sufficient.
Hurricane Harvey destroyed Ray’s home in Houston, Texas. They are now dependent on a friend to provide them with temporary shelter.
Betty has paid out thousands of dollars for medical supplies not covered by Medicare. Supplies that are now floating in her son’s home—all is lost—all must be replaced.
Betty lives on a very small fixed income—her medical costs are overwhelming.
