Repair our injured puppies legs

Donation protected

Boris is our four month old Aussie Shepard puppy.     I boarded him for a single day a few weeks ago as I had to work and Mike was out of town.  We did not want to leave him alone for 10 hours as we have only left him for a few hours in the past.  When I picked Boris up after 10 hours at the boarding facility he was lame and would not put weight down of his left back leg.  Within a few days his other leg showed signs of injury and he was hobbling.  After x-rays, anti-inflammatory medication, rest and many different vets opinions we took him to WSU Veterinary Hospital yesterday and they felt we could fix the damage and prevent him from being crippled with two sets of surgery on his hind legs.  They confirmed that he suffered a trauma which damaged the growth plate in both legs and led to bone, ligament and tendon injuries.  He was a healthy puppy when I brought him to the boarding facility and now we have a very injured puppy.  The Kennel owners are not returning any calls or emails.  They will not tell me what really happened to him.

Mike and I have had a very tough few years financially.  I lost my job in February of 2015 and was out of work for 11 months and had to change my profession completely so that I could find a job.  During that time our female lab Maggie needed knee surgery and our beloved male lab Auggie contracted cancer and after surgical efforts to save him he did not survive.  We are responsible and loving pet owners.  We always do what we need to do to keep our animals healthy and safe.  Money is very tight as we are rebuilding after almost a year on a single salary so we saved enough money to get a new puppy after losing our male dog to cancer.  This included the fee we paid for him as well as the first years normal vet bills.  Boris' bills for these injuries will add up to $6,000, including two surgeries, three sets of x-rays  medication and veterinary fees.  Boris had the first surgery yesterday and the long term prognosis is good.  Will you help us pay for the surgeries our puppy needs so that he can grow to be a healthy dog?
