Rebecca & Meme Home, Expenses, Fund

Welcome to our campaign. Who are we? We are a Mother and daughter fighting for justice and needing some immediate assistance, help, and financial relief.  We never, in out worst dreams, could have envisioned  to be in the place that we find ourselves.  This fund is being set up at the encouragement of friends and aquaintences, and not something that we would ever imagined needing to do.  It is our hope that we can raise funds to help off set some of the overwhelming and unexpected expenses we have incurred for  mortgage on damaged home, current rental to live in, legal fees, and ongoing medical costs arising out of a current  situation, as well as on going expenses. Due to health issues and risks arising from damage to our home, we have not been able to live there for over 12 years.  Not only that but the home has not been properly remediated, nor has the original cause of the problem been removed. This meant having to leave ultimately everything we owned in the home due to contamination risks and damage to contents. Not only have we continued to pay our mortgage we have also incurred rent for every month that we have not lived in our home. Not to mention all of the other medical bills and expenses that arose from this experience.  We had to replace furniture, clothes, daily items, etc that we lost,in our home.  It is the worst experience that we have had to live through and may ever have to live through.  12 years of our lives altered, strained finances, medical concerns, anxiety, threats, and still left waiting.  We are wanting to get this resolved and behind us so that we can seek our new normal.  We need help due to all of the expenses that have been ongoing.  We have faith that that the legal system will resolve  this issue for us soon.  

 Our goals are to raise the funds to finish this legal fight.  I was recently told that legal expenses will run or exceed $50,000.00.  Half of that is due in the coming weeks now.  I am hoping and praying that we can raise the funds to close this chapter of our lives.  After that our goal is to find a good safe home or to one day have a good safe home so that we can worry about something other than a house problem and overwhelming expenses for a while. A place to play catch, and basketball,and football as well as make artwork together and to build memories in. I know that we can't do it all on our own right now and would just like to have the opportunity to bring the truth to light, finally, in court.  It would be a dream to have out own special place to call home one day and make my daughter's wish come true, after this is over.

Currently we are in and had to file a breach of contract lawsuit trying to get some resolution to the continued condition and damages, improper work, incomplete work, etc,etc.  To do that has been very costly and very stressful on top of everything else that we have to deal with.  After 7 years of being out of the home, we had a formal agreement signed for certain repairs and conditions to be removed, as well as other items to be addressed.  We still remain out of our home since that agreement in March of 2011.  I will not go into great detail as this is still a current legal action against the other party involved and would not be productive to expand upon at this time.

This go fund me account is to help us catch a break due to all of the related expenses and move forward and being this to a close.  I have also spent countless hours working on documenting the case, emails, research, etc.  I even took some time away from work,off and on and on days off, to focus on all of the documents that needed to be produced and continue to work on that as time permits. The expenses are increasingly harder to deal with as each passing months and years go by. So we ask for help with all related expenses and also any additional funds remaining, if any, will go to our mortgage.  Of course our first priority is the immediate/future of growing expenses, and legal fees associated with being out of our home.  We understand that many people are also going through their own personal hardships and cannot help and we would not want anyone to make any donation that would place them in a bad situation.  If you can help then we will gladly appreciate any assistance with any of the items listed above.  If you cannot then please feel free to send us positive thoughts and prayers as we continue on our journey to stand up for what is right.  We have no doubt that we are in the right regarding our situation and that we will prevail in the end.  The hardest part is knowing when that end will be, and being able to cross the finish line.
