Raising money for charity

Christmas – my favourite holiday – is just around the corner. I have fond memories of this holiday growing up in the Philippines. We did not have a lot of money, but my family made sure our celebration was magical and memorable.

Unfortunately, not all children are so lucky, and I can only wish we could make this world a better place, where every kid grows up happy, especially at Christmas.

To see this wish fulfilled, even if only on a modest scale, I've decided to put up this GoFundMe page. And I'll need your help. My batch mates and I are raising funds for our high school homecoming next year and one of our projects is to sponsor wards of partner charities and foundations to watch Rapunzel! Rapunzel! A very hairy fairy tale staged by Repertory Philippines. Each ticket costs Php 750.00 ($20 AUD) and I aim to raise money to sponsor 75 children.

Your donation will enable the children to experience the magic and wonder of live theater.  What better time to make it happen than Christmas? Let's join hands in making this a memorable Christmas for these children.

The SSCHS1994 Alumnae Association, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit corporation composed of graduates of St. Scholastica’s College Manila High School Batch 1994.  Part of our duties as host is to generate funds that will benefit the various charity programs   of the St. Scholastica’s Foundation, Inc. (SSAFI).  We aim to continue its noble mission through channelling support for the social and civic projects of our alma mater.
