To some he was a very well-known Italian chef who catered to Denver Sports Teams and Media Personalities, to others he was a Sicilian firecracker with a personality bigger than he was; but to us he was simply just our DAD.

Eight years ago, my father made a poor decision and was accused and charged for a crime he didn't commit. He was misrepresented and misguided by one of Denver's "finest lawyers" and after countless amounts of money for lawyer fees it still wasn't good enough and the lawyer convinced my father to take a plea bargain.

We believe our father went to prison and served time not for the crime he was accused of, but for the way he was living which was against God's will. He was released after serving his sentence and was scheduled to come home, but instead he was deported back to his origin in Sicily. We lost everything and Mom turned into a single parent overnight.

He's been homeless, has been kicked around and spit on; struggling to stay afloat in a country that has literally no work for those who live there let alone a foreigner that just moved there. Our family has helped him to keep his chin up, but times are harder now for all of us and we can’t do it alone.

His heart was and still is the biggest of anyone we have ever met. He always made a way for us and we never went without! He loved us and always provided and now we have to step up and find a way for him to return to us! Although he has made some poor decisions; as a family we have supported him and stuck by his side throughout this whole nightmare.
