Drum Equipment for Rancho Starbuck

Donation protected

Four years ago, the Rancho Starbuck Drumline began competing in the American Drum Line Association for the first time in school history. Junior High School Drumlines are not very common and to take this group into the competitive circuit was an incredible feat within itself. The very next year, the drumline went on to win a gold medal in the junior division in just its second competitive season! The next couple of years, the talent, dedication, hard work, and popularity of the group at the school (approximately 70 students audition each year) grew tremendously. The 2015 season brought on a few more first-time feats when the drumline began competing in the highly esteemed Southern California Percussion Alliance circuit and was very successful. The ensemble was also promoted to the Advanced Division of ADLA for the first time, where they took home the bronze medal with a school record score of 85.85. The students of the Rancho Starbuck Drumline are some of the best students on campus with a great reputation of being dedicated, classy, respectful, hard working, and very intelligent (16 drumline students made the Top 100 with a GPA of 4.2 or higher!) The staff that works with the Rancho Drumline students is filled with some of the top and most dedicated instructors in the area who volunteer a majority of their time throughout the season in order to help improve the program. Often times, instructors have taken positions on a completely voluntary basis just so they can be a part of this program and work with these amazing students! The bonds formed by the students and staff alike in the Rancho Drumline is one like few others found in any other activity. The drumline is truly a family and the students form friendships that will carry on throughout high school and beyond.

While the drumline has had great success over the past four seasons, it has been difficult at times to reach the full potential that these amazing young men and women are capable of due to the fact that the school does not own its own equipment. We have had to borrow the equipment belonging to a local high school, and drive to that campus for all rehearsals. There are many reasons that this has hurt the group's success, as explained in our video.  The Rancho Drumline has made it a goal to raise enough money to purchase our own set of equipment that we can use every day at our own school that is in good enough condition to perform at the highest level possible. If you are able to, it would mean so much to each and every one of the students and staff members if you could make a donation of any amount. If you could also share this post with anyone you think would be interested in helping out this great cause, we would be very grateful! For businesses as well as individual sponsors who donate a certain amount, we are offering "thank you" rewards that may include having your name or business printed in all Rancho Band and Choir programs, name or business announced as a sponsor at all competitions, and name or business printed on a banner to be hung on the fence in the front of the school (please contact me for more info).

All donations are tax-deductable and our Tax ID number is: 95-6001974.

Thank you so much for taking the time to helping these talented students get the equipment that they deserve!
