Chemotherapy Treatment

Hello everyone, my name is Christina  Scharko and I am working collectively with Jeff Carty and we wanted to see if there was any hope in raising money for an employee that I currently work with named Ramon.  Since I have been working along side of Ramon,  I've realized what a dedicated, reliable employee he is.  About 3 months ago, our company lost all of our health insurance benefits due to decline in the contracting economy.  The company could no longer afford health care, leaving everyone without coverage.  Though we are all OK for now without the coverage, Ramon was actively recieving chemo for melanoma in several spots on his body.  Even after his long days undergoing treatment, Ramon was still working and trying to stay on his feet.  RWJ granted Ramon chemo in October, but can no longer do so due to lack of coverage.  This last week, Ramon was too sick to come into work.  Knowing how hard he works, and never missing a work day, we know he is in a lot of pain.  These past several months Ramon was OK with paying out of pocket for medical expenses, but it is a LONG shot being able to afford a chemo treatment bill as large as $30,000.00.  I started a health insurance plan that will not be able to be utilized until the beginning of January, and Ramons doctors and nurses strongly advise against waiting that long.  I know the amount asking is very large, and I am hoping that any money earned will be able to help Ramon in being able to receive his chemotherapy.  Thank you for at the very least, taking the time to read this, and hope everyone has a happy holiday.
