Ralph's battle with prostate cancer
Donation protected
As many of you know my father in law, Ralph Jaschke, was diagnosed with Prostatic ductal adenocarcinoma in May of last year. This is a most aggressive form of prostate cancer. This cancer has now spread to his lymph glands, liver and bone. Ralph has had many medical procedures this far such as TURP, osteomyelietis, IVC filter surgery for a DVT, multiple biopsies, bone scans,MRIs, Cat scans, PICC line and has had to have many blood transfusions for persistent blood loss. Ralph has had two long hospital stays, three and four weeks at a time. They have traveled to Methodist and MD Anderson. He is receiving treatment which include Lupron therapy and doing double rounds of chemo every 21 days and possible radiation and or surgery to come.
Ralph Jaschke is a loving and supportive husband, father and grandfather. Ralph is a retired VISD school teacher of 15 years and a local martial arts icon. Ralph has been teaching karate for 50 years and is no longer able to work and was forced to retire early due to his illness.
Our family has received an amazing outpouring of emotional support, however, at this time as things have continued to worsen we are the point to throw pride aside and accept ANY financial support you can give. As you know cancer carries a huge financial burden and we are trying to come together to help defray their medical costs. Your continued love, support, and prayers are appreciated.
