Sean Smith Memorial Fund

Don protégé
A tragic loss... Truer words could not describe what everyone is feeling at this moment. On July 16, 2016, on his way back from a well-deserved family vacation, Sean Smith was taken from us in a tragic car accident.

Sean Leonard Smith a.k.a. “Kookie” was like a family member.  He was our “go-to guy” here at Can-Jam. He knew and did everything from tuning the cars to answering the phones. He was our own version of “Wikipedia”. So much so, we often called him “Kookiepedia.” Sean was the “krazy glue” that kept Can-Jam together and the person who spearheaded the CSCS Time Attack.  At the very young age of 32, he had accomplished much more than a lot of people do in a lifetime.

He was also well respected in the racing community. From Rally, to Road Racing, to CSCS, to Pikes Peak, he did it all. However, above all else, he was a loving son to Sandra and a devoted husband to Meghan. Last year, we were honoured to attend their wedding in Mexico and it was one of the most beautiful and memorable moments that we have shared.

So many friends and people from the racing community have reached out to us asking what they can do to help the family in this time of grief. We created this Fund to provide an avenue for those who wish to assist with funeral arrangements. We are all overwhelmed by the outpour of support and greatly appreciate all the thoughts, prayers and love that have been offered to us.

We would like to extend our gratitude to those who wish to help. All funds will go directly to Sean’s family.
