Shiri Achu is an award-winning artist who has exhibited internationally.
From London to Washington DC, to Australia, and to Jamaica, Shiri Achu Art has presented her InPrint exhibition series with ^RAISE THE ROOF^ campaign playing an integral part during the last two InPrint exhibitions held in Adelaide/Australia(2016) and Kingston/Jamaica(2017). Individuals won #ShiriAchuArt 'Midnight Tradition', which is also owned by the multiple award-winning singer/actress Brandy and CNN's Tom Foreman. The painting also features on page 65 of the Art book 'International Contemporary masters VII' and was selected as a Finalist for the Cliftons Art Prize 2012.
So, what is ^RAISE THE ROOF^?
It is an ongoing campaign to Raise the Roof of a Sunday School building in 'Santa' village (N W Province) Cameroon. Proceeds going to aid the completion of the construction works.
During the two previous Shiri Achu Art exhibitions 37InPrint:AUS and 38InPrint:Jamaica, the monies raised was sent and have been acknowledged by the reverend of the church, who has written with thanks and also to advice that the estimated cost to complete the works and 'raise the roof' of the Sunday school is 7million CFA which is approx $11.000 US Dollars. So far, we have raised $2100, so we now need to raise approx. $9000 US Dollars to help and complete the roof.
