Amy, Mother of us two girls
(17&26) and Grandmother of Ellis
(3) passed away October 23, 2017 after suffering from a long-term illness. She was involved in a traumatic car accident April 26, 2016 that resulted in her being hospitalized for injuries, as well as being faced with underlying health issues she was oblivious to before.
Amy then was released a week later still in pain and she just dealt with it until she finally came to the conclusion that she should be medically treated. That is when she was notified about her sickness that gradually grew worse and worse. In the passed year we have tried to take care of her, ease her pain, comfort her, and try not to argue too much with her because it was obvious that wasn't the real her.
She was such a happy, outgoing, friendly, woman, until the sickness made her so weak she ended up going through multi organ failure along with other medical issues that arised. Unfortunately with all of the medical bills, her sickness causing her to go on disability, and living in a slumlord rental, we have been struggling for a while with her being the main supporter.
Now we are left with not only the funeral/cremation services as well as the celebration of like get together we would like to have for her, but also the left over expenses, for example; the car insurance, health insurance, car registration, phone bill, groceries, clothes, etc.
We had to vacate our home of 10 years this passed month as well so us sisters are staying with a family member trying to get our lifes back in order. This was a terrible, devastating time and we just want our mom to be celebrated the way she should be and laid to rest so she can be in peace and not in pain anymore.
Thank you all who have been there for us, her, now and back then! We love you all so much and are so thankful for all the support.
