Dad's Chemotherapy Fund

My name is Jed, and I have created this go fund me project to raise money to help my parents. My father was just diagnosed with cancer in his tonsils, and stage 4 cancer in his lymph nodes. The doctors were able to safely remove his tonsils and the cancer in them, but the cancer in his lymph nodes is too risky to remove. The doctors fear that if they remove it, the cancer would rapidly spread to other nodes, and other places in his body. He is beginning chemotherapy, and radiation this week, and we are hoping for the best. Unfortunately, both of my parents are retired and cannot afford this treatment. I would be devastated if anything happened to my father due to an inability to pay for medical care. Let me tell you a little about him.

His name is Richard Blakeman, he is a loving son, husband and father to 3 sons. He worked his whole life for the same company as an electrician, until one day an accident on the job happened. A 20 foot light pole in a parking lot collapsed and landed on his head. It crushed his neck, breaking several vertabrae. An operation was performed and he had a metal plate installed in his head and half of his cervical spine had to be fused together, rendering him unable to perform normal daily tasks that most of us taken for granted on a daily basis like turning your head to the left to check for traffic while driving. The company that he had given 3 decades of service to, discarded him without a second look. It was then up to his wife (my mother) to continue working to pay bills, until she was laid off. These are two of the most understanding, loving, generous people in the world. And they need your help!
