APEC-Puerto Rican Parrot Relief
Donation protected
The Puerto Rican Parrot captive breeding facility, on Puerto Rico, was hit hard by the recent hurricane. The captive parrots were brought into a hurricane safe building for the storm and are safe. Unfortunately, about 65% of their outdoor enclosures were destroyed. We are raising money to donate and ship new cage wire and building materials to repair the facility. They are also in need of medicine and veterinary supplies to help the facility care for injured and starving birds that are found in the wild. We are hoping to ship materials as soon as this weekend. APEC is working in collaboration with the American Federation of Aviculture Disaster Relief for logistics. We here at APEC and our fine feathered friends in Puerto Rico deeply appreciate the donations you provide. We will post updates as they become available.
