Pray for Ella

Ella is currently fighting for her life in intensive care at a ACCES (Animal Critical Care & Emergency Services).  Wednesday evening she went into respiratory arrest while at home and I rushed her to the closest veterinary emergency clinic (VCA Alpine).  VCA got her stabilized as best they could, but admitted they didn't have the facility or specialists available to treat Ella or diagnose what was wrong with her and recommended she be transported to a critical care facility.

I have paid $4,200 towards Ella's emergency and critical care already, I currently owe another $2,500 for care through today and each additional day she is in ICU is another $1,000-$1,500 per day.  Following my heart, I recently went a new direction in my career and took a job for a non-profit organization.  Unfortunately, that also meant a large decrease in salary.  Before starting my new job, I had paid off my credit cards to have some wiggle room in adjusting to a very different salary level.  Well, so much for wiggle room.  Ella's care and surgeries have maxed me out now. 

This "ask" for financial support is personal and not related to the rescue group, Aleks' Angels, of which I am a co-founder.  I am embarrased to even ask, but a fellow dog lover suggested I do it.  I have donated to other's personal pleas for support for their pets in the past because I know how tough a catastrophic illness can be.  Well, now I'm the one in that position.  Anything you can donate is appreciated.
