Please help Save Amanda's life

My name is Emma, and my family and I are setting up a Go Fund Me page for my sister in law Amanda.

Amanda Cox is a 36 year old, married, mother of three beautiful boys; Edward aged 9, James aged 7 and George aged 3. Married to Matt in 2011, an Armed Forces serviceman, their initial lives together had been going well. That is until March 2014 when after a lot of scans and tests Amanda discovered she had Fibrolamellar Carcinoma, which is a rare type of Liver Cancer, affecting less than 100 people per year.

In April 2014 Amanda had life-saving surgery on her Liver which successfully removed the tumour inside her Liver. Unfortunately, 2 years later in 2016, the Cancer returned again inside the Liver, which meant she had to go through a second operation. The surgery was again a great success and they were able to continue with their lives; including, after being given the all clear from the medical team, celebrating the birth of their 3rd child George, born in December 2017.

Unfortunately, and in a cruel twist of fate, the Cancer once again returned in March 2018. However, this time the Cancer not only returned inside the Liver but had spread to her nearby lymph nodes. The treatment was now deemed inoperable and instead Amanda was subjected to extensive bouts of Chemotherapy. After completing 6 months of debilitating chemotherapy the cancer had shrunk by three quarters. Amazingly during this time Amanda, still managed to go to work and be a full-time mother for her young children. A testament to her determination to beat the Cancer so that she can be around for her children in years to come.

With the Cancer seemingly now in check, Amanda went to see an oncologist in London who specialised in her type of cancer. Where she undertook a trial drug with excruciating side effects similar to chemotherapy. Unfortunately, after 3 months, her scans showed that the Cancer had once again grown and spread to another lymph node near her chest. The trial was therefore stopped and she was sent back to Birmingham to begin chemotherapy once again.

At this current time Amanda is having to start a new round of much stronger Chemotherapy. This cannot continue indefinitely as her body will not be able to cope. Indeed, she has now started going through the menopause due to her Cancer and Chemotherapy.

After the doctors told her that because her Cancer is so rare and that there isn't much else they can do for her, Amanda and Matt contacted doctors in America and were told that there are treatments available over there such as immunotherapy, which will give her many more years with her little boys and husband. When Amanda asked her doctors here in the UK about whether this treatment would be available for her on the NHS, she was told that due to the cost the NHS will not fund her for this. This is incredibly disheartening considering she still has much to live for, especially for her young boys who need a mother.

I am asking if anyone can please donate anything to Amanda's Go Fund Me page for treatment to give her more time with her family. She is only 36 years old and desperately wants to live, so that she can be there for her little angels. It is so upsetting seeing her write birthday cards for her boys knowing that she might not be there to give it to them. Or see them opening their presents at Christmas or celebrate with them on their wedding day.  Amanda and Matt continue to have hope and are desperately trying to raise the funds needed for her treatment, whether it is America or the UK. Unfortunately, as its a race against time trying to raise the funds before the Chemotherapy stops working, they clearly need help. The more that is raised the more treatments she could pay for and the longer she will therefore have to spend with her loving family. If you can donate, please, please can you do so as you are literally giving the gift of life. If you are unable to donate anything, please can you share this link.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
